Entre Cour et Jardins is the first festival of performing and visual arts that has been created by a few passionate individuals at the end of the nineties. This festival takes place in beautiful French gardens in Burgundy and Champagne (in cities as well as in the countryside), and proposes artworks to various audiences mainly during the summer (www.ecej.fr). The artists who participate (visual arts, music, dance or theatre) have the opportunity to create or adapt contemporary artworks for the specific landscape of the garden to which they are invited, without any possibility to use a stage or any artefact usually available in a theatre or in an exhibition space.
