Fixin is associated with the memory of Napoleon Bonaparte in the shape of a museum (campaign souvenirs of a captain of the Imperial Guard) and the Parc Noisot where you will find a statue entitled “Napoleon’s Awakening” by the Dijon sculptor François Rude. The village is characterized by its two churches. The church of Fixin (10th, 11th and 12th century) with its tower of glazed tiles, is the oldest Romanesque building on the Côte dijonnaise and it is classified as a historical monument. See also communal lava-covered oven, a village wash house built in 1827, and last but not least, the manor of La Perrière which used to belong to the Dukes of Burgundy. It is worth seeing!
